Truth International Missions Orphans PledgePage

The Ministry of Mercy (MoM) was established in April, 2005 by Pastor Francis Akaki and his team as a Christian response to the overwhelming number of orphans in Kisii , Kenya .

When the ministry started in April, 2005, over 30 orphans were registered. To date, the number has grown to hundreds.

As a nation, Kenya is faced with the great challenge of raising approximately 2 million orphans, most of them being AIDS orphans.

The day-to-day operations of Ministry of Mercy are carried out by a staff based in Mosocho Centre where the MoM operates.

A Board of directors provides oversight and support. The ministry is under Truth International Church , Mosocho and has partnerships with several other church denominations..

We are primarily committed to making a difference in the lives of these children. However, we also work with widows, the disabled, and the destitute, by ministering to their physical needs and in the process, helping them find the true and everlasting hope and mercy that is only found in Jesus Christ.

Current Projects

Evangelism & Discipleship:

Provides Bible training for our children with the goal of helping them establish and maintain a healthy personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Residential Home:

For each child that comes through our doors, MoM provides secure housing, a nutritious and well-balanced diet, clothing, immunization and all medical attention needed, complete education, a loving environment where children learn discipline and respect for themselves and others, and the opportunity to grow spiritually.

Widows Program:

Includes such activities as business management and income generating activities, adult literacy, community nutrition and food production, and various home management skills.

Educational Support:

Includes a nursery school for young children, supplies and tutoring assistance for children in primary school, and scholarships for youth in secondary school and college.

Volunteering:

One of the most meaningful ways you or your church can connect with the children of Ministry of Mercy (MoM) is to participate in our Volunteer Program.

The ministry welcomes short-term mission trips from individuals and groups from abroad to come alongside the children and conduct Vacation Bible Schools, play games and do crafts. A stay of about one week allows time to get to know the children and make visits to Widows projects.

Scripture says that true religion is ministering to widows and orphans in their time of need. MoM is putting that call of faith into action, and there are a number of ways you can help.

Ministry of Mercy's most significant expenses are the recurring monthly cost of running the Residential Home, feeding,Widows and the educational scholarship programs.

The majority of funds in the ministry's budget go directly to aid orphans and administrative costs are kept to a minimum, less than 5 percent of the total budget.

I am requesting for partnership with organizations, churches, groups and individuals to support our young children ministry MoM in Mosocho, Kenya.

Pray for the children that their needs are met as we approach Christmas and New Year.

God Bless you.

“Dear children and orphans of Mosocho, God said to all of us: ‘I will not leave you orphans. I will come back to you, and your hearts will rejoice. In the meantime, no storm can shake you in most calm while to that rock you are clinging since Love is everything’. What to say about the financial donors for the MoM Project? They are good people waiting to know you. If you start to build your village, they will come
